Unhappy Rent a tanker for NH road test?

I have my CDL-A and went to the NH DMV to take the tanker and doubles written exams. I passed both but now they tell me I have to come back and take a road test with a tanker truck. Where in the heck am I gonna get one of those?! I don't know anyone who has one. I called all the trucking schools in the area and they don't have anything that could help. Any one have any suggestions?
Thanks,
CharlieB

That must be a state regulation. I obtained my doubles and tanker endoresment and did nothing with either till I was hired on at Saia and taught how to hook pups. Of course it could just be that person didn't know what they are talking about.

I downloaded the state regulations last night and it's in there.
They just changed it two months ago.
There are a few tank/hazmat jobs posted up here for oil, propane and gasoline companies so I was hoping to get the endorsement so I could apply.

are you sure you got the correct info...
the only cdl endorsements that require both knowledge (exam) and skill (driving test) are passenger and school bus endorsments.
get a second opinion.

If you MUST have a tanker call United Rentals or any rental fleet and see how much for one of their bobtail water trucks.....other than that,I do not see any company giving their "Live tanker" to a "none" employee...

Good luck.........dam glad I'm old enough to be "grandfathered" into all of this new red tape......
