Default Diesel over electric HYBRED

Our company recently bought some hybrids. The company mouth piece said at the time that the technology for heavy truck is not there. WOW, was he wrong. Google HEMMET A3 and see what you get. Oshkosh truck is building a heavy hauler for the military that is diesel over electric and will get at least 20% better mileage.

Guys, we have to stop the NO, DON"T and CANN'T"T bunch from delaying what is good for us and the nation. In wheel, electric is now working. Again Google WHISPER BUS, or ELECTRIC MINNI COOPER and you will see that we can have it all. More power, better comfort and all wheel drive. You can be part of the change to better. Let everyone know that electric is here and better than what we have now. The Minni Cooper had 187 Horse power per wheel. Ya, 800 HP in a Minni cooper. That has to be a hoot!

If you hear someone saying it isn't working. let them know it is. Look over the sites with the Whisper bus, Hemmet A3 and Minni cooper and have your facts straight. the Hemmet A3 is putting over 500 HP to the ground. It is still expensive but in volume it will come down fast.

I can see a all wheel drive 2000 HP plus truck in the future. It will have regenerative braking and double the mileage we get today. It will be a whole lot more comfortable with no shifting and anti lock braking. Power on each wheel to include the steering.

This can not happen fast enough. Start information flow NOW!

These are using a diesel engine to power a generator.

The Generator then powers the electric motors. Since there is less power loss in the drive train, there can be a noticeable improvement in efficiency.

There have been heavy haul mine trucks using this technology for many years.

I read this in an industry magazine. I think it was Mack that was experimenting with a semi tractor that is set up like a locomotive. Engine drives generator that sends current to elecric motors at the wheels. Not sure how well this will work on a semi, but it will be interesting to watch..
