Swift has suffered from a bad reputation and is the butt of many jokes out here on the road. If you plan on working for them you better have thick skin. But you'll find that basically all truckload carriers are generally the same, just a different name on the door.
Ya' gotta "cut your teeth" somewhere...

Just make sure you make your trainer actually train you, I have ran into some Swift drivers that had never even heard of floating and couldn't back up worth crap, because every time they got to a dock the trainer backed the truck in. I'm not trying to slam on Swift only, I'm sure that any company is the same if you let them be. Your first trainer has a huge effect on your career, make sure they do their job right.

ALSO make sure your trainer has MORE THAN 3 MONTHS DRIVING TIME otherwise it's just trainees training trainees which equal problems as stated above.
Any decent Trainer should have a minimum of 1 solid year driving time where 2 years is preferred.

I'd be in a soup line waiting to get fed before I EVER set foot in a Swift rig.

Swift is BAD news and the last resort for a skilled driver.

Hey, don't tell em too much.

I have made lots of lunch money backing a 53 into a hole when a new Swift driver couldnt get the idea, cause no one bothered to show them :-)
