USA is good to avoid.
It's not Warner unless you're wanting Warner Bros., it's Werner.
Werner was hiring trainees ONLY recently.
TMC seems to be a good Company yet I dunno if they're in a hiring freeze hiring frost or what.
Roehl seems to be a decent company from what I've heard OTR and read here at TB.
Swift is just not too swift.
Covenant, they're NOT the christians they want drivers to believe they are.
STAR in Nashville is another company under Covenant.
They have recently begun CHARGING DRIVERS FOR IDLING TRUCKS @ $3.00 an hour. Go to ripoffreport.com and enter Covenant in the search.
For that matter go there and enter these other companies as well.

There are also in Trucking Companies here at TB, threads related to these companies with useful information.
Go to Main Forums and scroll down to the respective sections.

Before going to any trucking company DO ALL THE RESEARCH YOU CAN!!

Are you serious??? Im not even sure that is legal. A sleeper berth has to be habitable to count as a legal 10 hour break...

YES I'm serious and have been harassed back in '07 for idling the truck I was driving as well in '08 when the fuel prices were insane.

Companies are charging drivers for idling trucks and it matters not whether you're part of a team waiting for a load or you have a pet or two.

Talk to OTR drivers and discover for yourself that these statements are NOT false nor are they CB banter.

This is why I keep enough cash in my checking account to pay for a bus ticket home from anywhere in the country. Im waiting for some dumbass dispatcher to charge me for idling while waiting for them to do their job. Im not afraid to sue someone over that...

I understand the need to keep a comfort zone for emergencies on the road and I understand Drivers getting shafted by companies, but taking a bus ride from anywhere in the country to your home or another company can be construed by the trucking company as ABANDONING THE TRUCK which will then be placed on your DAC/USIS and the company will charge you for such recovery. Truck Abandonment will haunt you for a long time.
THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MANY BEFORE YOU so it is not an original idea.
MANY have done just as above with JB Hunt, Schneider, Swift to name but three.

The idea for charging Drivers does not originate with Dispatchers as they merely pass along information given to them.
It originates From the President/Owner down to Operations Managers.
It affects ALL Drivers even Local.
