Default Gaming systems in my truck

owner op here

im interested in putting a 360 and maybe later on a ps3 in my truck along with a small tv....prolly like a 17-20 inch, maybe a wee bit bigger if space allows.

for the most part when i use any of the systems ill be stopped in a truckstop or drop destination somewhere but there will probably be times that ill use it when the truck is moving ( when the other driver is driving ofcourse lol ) and as you all know, the truck jumps ALOT.
im worried that the tv along with the systems, that their innards will come loose during vibrations/shaking etc.......

anyone has ideas as to how these things are handled? last thing i want is to spend a few hundred on my trucks gaming equipment to then see them systematically fail

I have my TV set on a towel to absorb shock, I also use to strap that came in the truck and I also use a bungee cord. I've had this TV set up like this in this truck for the past 3 years and it has not moved yet. I drive an International 9400.

I have a p.s. 2 and the kids use it with no problem while truck is moving, for some reason I cannot play video games, makes me feel sick, like I am sea sick. do not know about the newer ones, the kids want them of course, but at what they cost, not sure if I love the kids that much

I've had just about every gaming system out there in my truck at one time or another and never any a problem with them breaking. The best install I've found is mounting a flat panel tv at the foot of the bed. The game systems fit snugly in between the mattress and wall when rolling down the road. I have a small rolled up towel between the base of tv and wall as a shock absorber. Had this set up for years without any problem.

Well, I did have one problem. It's almost impossible to play wii games in the limited space in the truck so that's a problem, but others are great. Just don't get addicted to the newest Zelda like I did and find you can only play it at home! Oh yeah, and motion sickness from playing games while the truck is rolling. That's something I never had before! I found that keeping the sleeper curtain open helped.
