Default Independent CDL schools in Dallas?

Can anyone recommend a good independent CDL training school in or near Dallas TX? I dont think I want to go the company sponsored route, too many bad stories...

Also, are govt grants available to assist with the cost of school? If so, can you provide a link?

Thanks in advance...

Yes, government $ is avail for training, in general. In my state you just had to be collecting unemployment, and u were eligible for $. I got my whole 6 weeks paid for, at a local community college. Finally, some socialism for me instead of someone else. !

The county colleges are good for training, as opposed to a private training school, I hear.
I was happy with the training I got at the county college.

There are very few companies doing the company sponsored training programs anymore.

Go to your local State Employment Office and inquire or Google what you're seeking.
There ARE SO MANY LINKS just here at TB for someone to do ones OWN research.

There are Student Loans available as well as other options especially if you're a Minority or a Woman.
There's also the A. D. A. (Americans with Disabilities Act) and one need not be physically handicapped to apply.

I am about to graduate from an independent school here in NC. I had my school paid for through the Army's Tuition Assistance because I am still Active Duty Army (I go weekends only)
A couple of guys in my class had their school paid for through Workforce Development, might want to look into that. The school also finances.
