Question JB Hunt rumor

Has anyone else heard the rumor about JB taking about 1500 trucks off the road and using rail to replace them? I heard someone talking about it on the cb last week. I know you cant believe everything you hear on there but I was wondering if anyone else had heard this.

All trucking companies are taking large numbers of trucks off the road right now. I don't know anything about this rumor specifically, but from reading industry news lately I don't think there's a single large company that hasn't significantly reduced fleet size. As far as I know they aren't being replaced by rail or anything else because they aren't needed right now. Speculation is it will get worse.

bj hunt has been transporting large numbers of trailers on Rail for many years as have the other large (except Celadon) trucking freight companies.
They still have to be moved into and from Rail yards.

Look up Tranport Topics . I'm not good putting links on here .But on todays TT there was a story about JB Hunt selling some road equipment . I guess business AND the fact that the requirements on engines will be changing shortly is /are some of the reasons that JB and countess other companies will be rethinking their businesses.
