Hypothetically speaking of course, I would buy an ordered Peterbilt, steer axle set forward, a 3406-D CAT engine (or similar) with 600 horses into a 13 speed Meritor (or similar) with 3.39 rear gears, all sitting on 24.5 tires, and NO useless single wides.
It would of course be a 10 wheeler with a sliding 5th wheel, drop air suspension as well as all air ride toe to tail.
It would have a 70" extended sleeper along with all the bells and whistles like Chicken Lights, 1,000 watt CB and 1500 watt CD Stereo with 8 speakers, etc.
---
Otherwise I would just get a 2002 to 2005 Freightliner Century with at least a 10 speed and a Detroit 60 Engine or a Cummins N-14.
It would be a walk in condo, naturally.
No stupid FLD, XL Classic or Columbia.

Kenworth is nice too as well as Volvo.

Stay away from Mack unless you don't care about your Kidneys and lower back.

Cornbinders (not the newest disgrace) are nice for those that prefer them.

Personally, I like the Volvo 780. It has plenty of interior space and rides better than the other class 8 trucks I have driven hands down.

Thanks to the set back axle, backing and turning in tight or cramped quarters is relatively easy.

Couple the 780 with a D16 Engine and the new I shift and you got a large car that rides in comfort and style.

3:36 rears with dual lo-pro 22.5's

Of course the suspension and cab would have to be air ride all the way around.

2009 VOLVO VNL64T780 Conventional Truck w/ Sleeper For Sale At TruckPaper.com

Something like this but I would prefer a Grey or Silver color rather than the red.

all depends on where you run and what your doing be aware that you won't be able to take a older truck into california in a year or two unless it has a dpf fillter on it im not sure if the reg goes in effect in 2010 or 2012 but i know my company is already replacing trucks to get ready

Freightliner Coronado glider with a pre-EGR engine in it. I don't really care which one, b/c anything would be better than having to deal with busted tubes, coolers, and valves of an egr system.
