i worked for pam for 2 years to get my experience in. it was a nice starter company to get the experience i needed to go elsewhere to make more money. youll have the same negatives that you will have no matter who you drive for. just like any other OTR company, a lot of your good or bad experiences will depend on your relationship with your dispatcher.

Back when I was looking for a trucking job, I remember that PAM would train you, and pay you for it, I think. But the PAM drivers only made around $35,000 a year, for OTR, which is lower than average, I think.

Truckload carrier P.A.M. Transportation Services reported a fourth-quarter loss of $11.4 million, or $1.19 per share, compared with a loss of $840,000, or 8 cents, a year ago.

Operating revenue fell 17.8% to $84 million, P.A.M. said late Friday. The loss included non-cash charges triggered by the current equity market, P.A.M. said in a statement.

For the full year, the company lost $18.8 million, or $1.94 per share, compared with a profit of $2.7 million, or 26 cents, in 2007.

P.A.M. is ranked No. 62 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.

I tried to drive for 'em after driving school, applied online, faxed my paperwork, called and left a message, never heard from 'em, so I moved on...Be weary, they used to haul alot of autoparts for various automotive manufacturers from warehouse to factory, not sure how that has affected their freight levels. They have a few other operating divisons as well, Allen Freight Services, Chocotaw (team driving division), and Decker Transport.
