Zombie is on a distinguished road
Default Naturally Stoned after lots of driving

Hi,

Maybe it's just me. I drive linehaul. 5 hours out and 5 hours back. On the way back, it's after midnight. Around the 9th or 1oth hour of driving, I can make out all the lyrics of the songs I could never understand before. And the colors of roadsigns and city lights are very deep and pretty, whereas before they were just red, yellow, blue, whatever. I hear all the instruments in the music (even with the engine and road noise in the background).

Life is good and it's even better that I'm getting paid to be stoned.

Of course I stay safe and pay attention to traffic, and don't forget I'm in a huge truck.

This doesn't happen all the time, but about once a week, I guess.

Am I a total and complete psycho, or do other drivers experience this also ???

During my first year of driving, I had some vivid hallucinations when I became fatiqued.
As my enduraced increased, the hallucinations went away, and never had them before or since that first year of driving.

Default Srange sights/Near misses

Many years ago; when young and with driving and partying and driving some more, I had crossed the river bridge and was pulling the old US 82 hill straight up into Tuscaloosa, AL.

Suddenly there was this crowd/mob of people in front of me in the most active fight I had ever seen.

Stopped cold... All of it cleared up.... Stuck the old truck in
1st and was able to get it moving all the way to the top.
On thru the truck route and up US 11 to B/ham and never even blinked again. First and only of mine.

Did have a few off road experiences at the end of the corn rows near Effingham, IL . Not too bad, road, right of way and cornfield were all same level. Shift down, come back on road, wind it up. Pull any loose stalks out of the grill next fuel stop.

Once while driving in the fog I kept seeing a green sailing ship in front of me
if i slowed down it would go away
if I sped up it would appear again

Was the Loch Ness monster merely a sailors hallucination?

I'm glad you posted this. The music and lyrics are definitely more appreciated and identified when I'm fatigued. I thought it was just me.

I do have to give credit to my XM radio for telling me the titles to songs. Artists typically sing the title a lot during the course of the song. I can't believe how many songs there are where I thought they were singing something different than what they were.
