Doesn't matter what state you live in, experience in Combos is usually considered when crossing multiple state lines, not local work.
Local work is local work and long haul is long haul.
A person can cross over from OTR to local with recognized experience yet rarely reversed.
Yes, the experience with the roll off truck will hamper your tractor trailer experience.
ANY experience driving commercial vehicles when not crossing at least 3 state lines every week (or every day) is not considered as experience for OTR companies.
You could have 10 years experience OTR and take a local job and the extensive experience will not count later (say a year+ with some companies) should you want to go back to OTR.
As far as information on
pay and things, you're best to discover these from the offer of the company as locations and D. O. E. (
depending
on
experience) determine what
pay and things may be offered.
I'm glad someone here has been offered something in the driving arena and I hope for you it works out well!!
