Default Need input on STI (Sharkey)

Anyone have any experience with STI (Sharkey Transportation Inc.)? Have a job offer from them. Anything good/bad about them?

Other than they no hire in VA., NC. (which lets me out), SC., and Maine plus western states, I never heard of them before your post.
For all others:
Sharkey Transportation Inc. - Google Search
I will say the GOOD thing is they're still in business.

I went through orientation @ Dot 5 years ago w/a former Sharkey flatbed driver. I believe he left for more hometime, he's still w/us. I know Sharkey does a lot of General Mills/Kraft. Some drop/hook. They also occaisionally pull inbound loads for Dot. The drivers all seem friendly. Equipment looks decent, all Bulldogs.

They used to pay their drivers by percentage of the trucks revenue, instead of the more common pay for mileage/stops.This used to be a fairly common practice especialy with mom-pop outfits, STS was one of the larger outfits to pay this way.I don't know if they still pay drivers this way,but they did as recently as 3 years ago. When freight rates are high not a bad way to go,But when was the last time you heard of truckload firm raising rates?
