Default Pay cuts???

I just read on one of these threads that YRC cut employees wages. Are they the only one who did something like this? The economy is bad but I didn't know YRC was cutting wages because of it. While I had heard they were in some financial hardship I never thought it would do that. Keep your heads up anyone who's been effected by this horrific economy, it can't rain all the time.

Did any other major carriers follow the lead and do this too? If would seem others would try and jump on the bandwagon with something like this.

if you had a trucking company and could scare your drivers into beleiving the sky is falling wouldnt you try to take a stab at their pocket book and put it your own to. trust me there will be more to follow. it just takes one big one to set example.

Old news around here.

I'd suggest that you go down to the YRC forum if you want to know more about the entire mess, that was once a good company to work for.

Yeah, it ain't too pretty out there for any of us and I don't expect it will be anytime soon, either.

It would appear that CCX is going to do it also. I heard middle of April. They are only taking 5% there though where at YRC, we gave back 10%.

YRC will eventually give that back where as I doubt Conway will ever see that 5% back. This is something that's going to happen more and more throughout the US. Companies are already starting to pay new hires less at jobs where they paid more before. It's the perfect opportunity to spin the wheel and create more corporate greed. What bothers me is companies that are in no current troubles doing this because the "MIGHT" lose money in the future. Is that considered trickle down or trickle up? I think it's just messed up.
