Yes it will be an issue, but how big of an issue also depends on exactly what the circumstances were, was there alchohol or any other substances involved. Was there any sort of recklessness etc. And a lot of it depends on the company. My best advice would be to check into some companies and see if you can get some prehires, they will look into all of this and let you know what they think.
Also just make sure that this is something you really want to do, honestly it takes a certain type of person to make a good driver, really long days with nobody to talk to but yourself tend to get really boring and they can be quite hard on some people.
Go through and read some of the post from the people on here listed as veterans, they really know the business and can tell you a lot mor about the life.

No, drugs and alcohol were not a factor. I'll go a little bit more into detail so you guys can give me more advise. I was riding side by side with another motorcycle. I was following him to his house to get his helmet. He turned into me. He sued me saying it was my fault. I didnt have money for a lawyer to counter sue. So my insurance settled with him. Automatically it was put on my record as an at fault. I've been told that if I explain the circumstances to a potential employer they would probably look past it. What do you guys think?

my mamma always said, "those things are dangerous, you'll shoot your eye out"........

oh wait, motorcycles, not BB guns.......(sorry)........

my mamma always said, "those things are dangerous, you'll poke yourself in the eye".....

oh wait, motorcycles, not bow & arrows..........(sorry).......

my mamma always said, "those things are dangerous, you'll be killed on one".........

ok, right track, motorcycles.......(whew...!!!)..........

being it was a motorcycle accident, i'm of the thinking it might very well be over looked. most insurance companies know the dangers of motorcycle riding. i think that many people in the safety dept of a trucking company probably ride them too, AS WELL AS SOME OF THIER DRIVERS.

motorcycles are more of a "recreational" vehicle, for "pleasure", not for work, like for instance, a police officer.

i wouldn't sweat this too much.............

plus by this time, i'm SURE you won't be riding side by side ANYMORE........!!!..............

RIGHT.............????????
