My roomrate in Atlanta started using those phone dating services and this was in the mid 90's. I remember him bragging about this girl he was talking too and set up a time to meet her. She described herself as a tall blonde in great shape and was a working actor She also said she drove a cadillac. I was sitting on the porch when a car pulled up. It was a yellow Granada and she got out and I started laughing my *** off. She was about 5'2 and had to weight 200+. My roomate whos a straight up sicko ended up having a summer of fun with her(stictly at our house never once going in public). She was a working actor alright she worked in those midevil renaissance person who traveled around talking like a pirate(in my opinio). I remember thinking that's what great shape in like where she came from I must be Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Last night on ABC "What would you do" they had an episode where online dating and meeting people was a theme. It was hilarious watching it. The women were actually decent when the guys showed up and weren't anything like their pictures. On the other hand the men weren't as nice. One was trying to knock the cameraman down as he left and another looked inside the restaurant and immediately sent a text saying he had a family emergency and couldn't make it. I don't know if I could ever do the internet dating. It's like everything else with the internet people lie and become everything they wish they were. What happened to good old fashioned walking up to someone your interested in?
