RUAN is MUCH LIKE RYDER. its a driver leasing company, which can also provide trucks and trailers as well. they can and usually also provide the FULL logistics a company needs for one monthly fee.
the benefits are comparable to industry standards, (if not slightly better) to compensate the driver for ALL HIS/HER TIME while on duty.
Ruan was "out here" in New England, but basically i believe left the area because RYDER was bigger and more powerfull, thusly cutting the costs of operations making it "cheaper" to hire from Ryder.
not a bad company (Ruan), many guys i have worked with over the years worked for Ruan and enjoyed thier time with them.
i say, GO FOR IT", and if you get assigned a job site you do not like, they can and often will "transfer" you to another location.
job advancements are available as well, as they "hire with-in" first, advertise later.
