Driving jobs in Kuwait

A good freind of mine is looking into working in Kuwait
driving truck for some of the high money construction
jobs over there.
This does NOT involve pulling fuel trucks in/out of Bagdad
for K&B and Co.
From what I heard you are housed on a military base and
drive throughout Kuwait - not Iraq.
Transportation, food, housing, medical, etc. all paid for as well as $250k a year tax free.
You work something like 12 days on and 7 days off (approx.)
You MUST sign a two-year contract and theres a decent
sign-on bonus payable AFTER you complete said contract.
I'm going to find out more later and post herein.

There WILL BE a list of requirements to be met BEFORE being accepted.

Part of the 2 year contract will stipulate that ANY SERIOUS Injury or Death nullifies said contract with no recourse.

Its not Kellogg & Brown, no.
Even Tricky Dick Cheney is washing his hands of them.
Those numbskulls can take care of themselves.
No trucking into Iraq - strictly Kuwait.
I know a few Air Force guys who were there and its not to bad if you
can stand 100+ degree heat all the time.
Supposedly this is flatbed work hauling a lot of rebar for construction
projects throughout Kuwait.
Also dump work.
You live on base somewhere.
Not sure which one as there a half dozen active bases in Kuwait.
Google "Dubai, Kuwait" and you'll get an idea of what they've got going on.
Thats where fats from around the world are putting their $$$ nowadays.
They're not going to let Iraqi low-lifes spoil their soufle.

All I'm going to say is good luck to those that choose to go overseas for high paying jobs. Some make it big time, others never come back.
