Default Info on Trans am trucking

Hi all,

I just got a call from Trans Am and all the info i can find on them is bad . Now does one have to lease, cause I won't do that . I just got out of a trucking school and I don't want to lease a truck, hell I'm having a hard enough time paying my house . If some of you can help me out with this it would be great. Oh they want me to go to orientation on May 20th.

Thanks for any info.

This company is similar in quality:
C.R. ENGLAND - Truckingboards Truck Driver Forum

There should be some info at the website or a specific forum (possibly) like Schneider.

There have been similar questions posed here at TB for Trans Am and looking through the pages here in this Forum may deliver some answers.

As with any company, there are those that rate their respective company with esteem, it's just that there are more that state the negatives than the positives.
There have been and will be those People (Drivers) that start at Trucking companies and remain as well as those that roll for 30 days to 3 months and whine incessantly about how they're being screwed over by such a miserable company that'll still be in business when the new whiner starts.

I've never been interested in pulling Reefers but then I don't have to be as there are those that want to do such and are having problems getting a leg up.
I prefer not being a Trucker anymore yet it's mainly what I've done since '98 therefore I hope to land something Local either in a Warehouse setting (possibly moving trailers on and off docks) loading/unloading or with a Flatbed doing Local or Regional or Dedicated.
I've recently signed up with a National Driver Temporary to Permanent Service and have some definitive possibilities/probabilities.

Sorry this is so late. Stay away from Transam. They want you to lease tell you to expect 2800 to 3300 miles per week. Truth is you get 2300 to 2400 miles per week which is enough to pay for the truck and give you a few hundred bucks IF you watch every drop of fuel. I went with them and its the worst thing I ever did.
