Looks as if I want a job right now I have to go to the road so, What kind of inverter do I need ? A 12V or a 24V.

I'd like to keep it cheap not gonna be my truck but they said If I buy it the will install it for me - No charge

Also, What usb wireless modem should I look intofor my laptop?. I leave for orientation on Monday. ( Couldn't leave before Mothers day)

I hear alot of on the road drivers talking about using air cards from sprint, at&t and they're starting to have caps on them for usage. I would get something like these I guess. Unless, someone else knows about otheres? As far as the inverter, I'd say a 12v would do it. You could even get a solar trickle charger for it and always have power even if the inverter quits. Check out harbor freight for them. The first thing I would get would be a gps and xm or sirius radio to if I were going back on the road. You'll need all the entertainment you can get. Just my ideas, Good luck to you, cwnut

You dont need a usb wireless modem. That doesn't even make sense honestly. A usb is used to plug something in, last i checked wireless doesn't plug in. OK i'll stop messing with ya.

Your laptop should have built in wifi. If it doesn't you will have to go , to say comp usa, and get an external wifi device that plugs into your USB port. Then download the disk on the computer so it will work. On getting wifi, you can get it thru your cell phone carrier (read the fine print before doing this), truckstops offer wifi at a reasonable price(the bad is , the speed of this depends on how far you are from bldg and how many are using it also) or like i did, i knew places that would have wifi and just park near it when i wanted to use the internet. Places like hotels/motels(not motel 6 they charge now)(days inn was always good) and certain restaraunts have wifi also. Ex. starbucks, panera bread, kyrstals and some mickey d's (they charge)are doing it now .
