Default Question

I was wondering why a company that uses both o/o and company drivers for their business, would put on company drviers instead of o/o?
I'd think that with the economy as it is that it would be less risky to put on o/o than company drivers.

Company Drivers get less pay and the trucks are already tagged and insured.

Yep, plus the company is probably still making payments on those trucks, better to have them on the road making money, instead of sitting on the lot.

Sometimes o/o's that are "leased" are insured and tags are paid by the company...But ,I think some companies use o/o's to do certain aspects of service they don't want to pay (or tie up ) company drivers to do.
