YRC Worldwide's reported request for $1 billion from the federal bailout fund is sending shock waves across the trucking world. YRC is the first and so far only trucking operator to apply for assistance from the Troubled Asset Relief Program.

NO, let them sink all on their own! They keep Zollars and the stock holders are to blame just as much.

I bet they get the bailout, because they are a union company, and unions always back the Democrats, who control the purse strings for now.

Angry Yrc buyout

My fiancie' worked for USF as a linehaul driver, until he got laid off a month in a half ago. Never has he enjoyed working for a company before like he did for USF in his whole life of trucking. how often can you really say you Love your job. He did until the last 6 months. Watching a freight company that has always been on the top of their game, very low OS&D issues, very high standards from employees in the office on the docks, drivers in the city and on the road. Then YRC decides to fix something that is not broken. It's one thing to buy USF, ROADWAY,NEW PENN,REDDEWAY, ETC. But leave them be, they were doing just fine until greed sets in. Yellow has always been a company that has had money issues. HOW DID THEY BUY THESE COMPANIES IN THE FIRST PLACE???? I grew up in this industry and have seen how customers were and are treated by Yellow, they dont like them. But they delt with them because of USF, etc. Yellow left them(USF) alone at first, but that was part of the purchase agreement, then boom they fubar them all. Then lets see, the big wigs of YRC, making 7 digits + a year go down to 5 digits and live on that like the managers, office, dock,& drivers have. The employees have taken a reduction in their pay for 5 years but the Ceo would not be able to survive so he took reduction for 6 months at i believe 10% then 6 months at 5% WOW, but they want The Feds to help them out? No I dont think so, they need to cut there wages 90% and live week to week like they have forced their employees to. I have worked for a non union company as a local driver in my area but have worked side by side with the city USF drivers usually the same driver(s) at my stops everyday. Always hard working and very nice drivers. And now they drop their heads ashamed of who they work for. The line haul drivers are awesome, the best out there, just because they drive day cabs dont mean diddley. They travel some miles and have excellent MVR'S, but go ahead YRC nock em down a few more notches. YOU DONT DESERVE A FED BUYOUT. TAKE IT OUT OF YOUR OWN BANK ACCOUNT YOU KNOW YOU GOT IT.
