I got here on the yard at 4:30 am for a transfer load going to Burley, ID. I grabbed the paperwork with my name on it and got ready to hook up the trailer when I noticed the destination on the paperwork was different. I happen to share my name with another driver out of Ardmore, OK and he's up here right now waiting to head back to OK. I came within an eyelash of grabbing his load and taking off to Idaho with it. Glad I double-checked!

It is a miracle I have never mis-pulled. Sometimes we hook up to 8 different trailers in a night - hooked em wrong but still haven't pulled em.

If it happened once,it will happen again. I suggest that you change your dispatch name. Last or first name or maybe even a number.I have used my first name as my dispatch name for 9 1/2 years. I know there are more guys with my first name,but most use their last name.

It very common in this business.Of course we have linehaul numbers and that's how you are dispatched.
