Smile need semi driving experience!!!!

I have got my permit in Wisconsin for abc classes, doubles and triples, and tankers. However I did not go through any driving school. I wanted to know if anyone can help me to get some driving experience in a combination? I am doing this for overhead power line construction and needed class A for better qualification. I would even pay somone who is driving through Clintonville Wisconsin to pick me up and watch and drive on a haul to get some experience. I can drive a stick shifter. I do not know anyone who has a semi or where i can get one to borrow or practice with. Can anyone help me?

I don't know where you will find anyone willing to take the risk, if you bump something it would be hard to explain to the insurance company. If I were you, and I just wanted short term, in your area I would try farm work, manure haul or the the canning companies. If you are already working with an overhead construction company, and they have the equipment, that is going to be your best chance to get experience.

The best experience is to pay your dues and go out there and run over the road for a year. But without any schooling no one is going to take a chance on you. Schneider is advertising all over, but you still have to go through their school. And I don't think they are taking anyone with out experience right now. Fox Valley tech also has a good program, and it would help you get into a company, but there is no quick answer.

I don't know any driver that got rich driving for Schneider, but I know quite a few who get a regular paycheck from them. A lot of drivers come and go the first year but many stick around and feed a lot of families around the country. No one is forced to work there, but a lot of people started long careers slow shifting a big orange truck.

There will always be a place for companies like Schneider. And there will always be drivers who make their own decisions on where they want to work. I always respect the man doing the job, and keep an eye on the one who just talks about it.
