Exclamation Please read, I need your help - Stolen Horse Trailer!!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am reaching out to all of you who travel the roads to be my eyes and ears! I recently purchased a horse trailer from a dealer in CA. so that my children who have begun to ride, could take their ponies to local 4-H events and such. This should have been a joyous and wonderful time for our family, however it has not been the case. After purchasing the trailer we hired what we thought was a reputable company through UShip to haul the trailer to MD - the trip was to take 7 days. A few days into the trip we received an email demanding more money for expenses he could not prove ($300 for a tire change to spare). This has gone on for days now, he won't tell us where our trailer is and will not tell us when we can expect delivery. When we told him we would notify the police his response was this:

"The authorities do not have time to seize items that are a week late on delivery. Too many child molesters and mothers drowning their own babies these days."

He has accused us of threatening non-payment, which is not the case - we simply want to see proof of expenses and agree to pay him upon delivery of our property. His latest email claims that he wants us to purchase a gift card from Flying J somewhere in VA and that when we provide him with the card information he will let us know the location of our trailer which he claims to be nearby. I am sure you can see our worries with this!

Please pass the word around -Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Please, if any of you happen to see a horse trailer matching the below description contact Deputy S. Twilley at the MD State Police: 410-228-4141

Circle J 4 Horse Bumper Pull
All Aluminum with double rear doors, half ramp and hay rack.
Possible CA plate: 4GF7866

Thank you all in advance for your efforts!!!!!!!

Drive safely,

- Motherof_4

Whatever you do DO NOT send him any money in any way shape or form. I would contact the FBI if it were me. I believe that falls under some statute of interstate commerce, Good Luck keep us posted.

well i too am sorry that you are having this problem........

BUT, do you know how many horse trailers look alike...??

do you realistically think ANY police agency is going to stop each and every vehicle pulling such a trailer..??

chalk it up to experience, and maybe next time, buy a trailer form a LOCAL dealer, or go get it yourself...??

i kinda think when you do get this trailer, it'll probably be a total wreck.....

If you obtained his license or DOT number, try contacting the DOT to get his info for the police to go arrest him at home.
