Question Which Road Atlas is best and why?

The time has come for me to purchase my first Motor Carrier Atlas and I just discovered that it comes in three varieties.

There is the standard edition (but still the Motor Carrier version), the "Deluxe" edition that has laminated, wire bound pages and the "large scale" version (not sure if it has larger dimensions or just has more map pages).

I think there may also be truck-specific atlases other than Rand-McNally's but I'm not sure about that.

Question is, which of these three (or a different brand), do you prefer and why?

Rand-McNally with Binder Wire available at Peelot.
The ONLY one I've ever dealt with as all Coops are listed except the few newest ones PLUS all the City loops and other relevant trucking info.
Otherwise with a Laptop it's Google Maps.

Laminated is important,You will spill your coffee(or vice of choice)on it, sure as hell! My very good local maps are horrible because it is not laminated and I used it instead of a Roll of Bounty .............Keep um protected, off the Floor...Also Maps are like Calenders they are half off right before the next one comes out!

I prefer the laminated one also mainly because with the wire binder, you can leave it open to the page you need. Harder to open to a page when driving.

I voted for the standard edition but after seeing it's your first atlas I'd spend the money for the laminated. You can add some erasable markers and make notes for you trip then erase them when you're done.
