Lightbulb Does anyone have an opinion on this?

I have an opinion about the economy and particularly the loss of jobs (26 year high). Hear it is. There have been lots of jobs lost, but there are going to be alot of people retiring in the not too distant future because the baby boomers are at retirement age now. If they retire, companies will be hiring. Of course there are some variables. Some may have lost alot of money since the recession began (stocks, retirement funds, etc) and won't be able to retire because the nest egg is gone. And, companies continue to go overseas. One article dated in 2005 is very different than two other more recent articles. What are your opinions on what may happen as far as jobs?

I think a lot of it has to do with how far BHO gets socialism. IMO, he will get pretty far, there will be some huge opportunities in socialized medicine and companies involved in environmental technologies. As far as good paying mid-level management and blue collar, they will be a thing of the past as there will no longer be a demand for these types of jobs once manufacturing has completely ceased.

The kicker will be when inflation takes off. This is gonna get bad. As far as LTL jobs, who knows - stuff has to move but these companies cannot withstand much more.

I saw a news item the other day that stated companies were actually looking to hire older people because of their work ethic. And there are a lot of older people back in he job market due to the economy.

Some reports have determined/stated that Older folk are those over 48 yet those of us 50 and Older are not as inclined to get hired as these reports claim, unless applying to Wendys, Mick Dees, wail mart.

I may not always be correct however I'm never wrong.

I think that you are right on the money.
Obama's plan is to break private industry, and have everyone depend on the government. Either as government or public employees or as needy welfare cases.
