As far as being a good company to work for, I can't help you there since I never worked for them, and could be very subjective. Any company is as good as you make it. My first trucking job was with Ellsworth Freight Lines some 20 miles or so from Fort Dodge. This company was eventually bought by some other carrier that eventually was bought by Decker. And I have not been near that area for some 36 years.
If this is your first trucking job, at least it will get your foot in the door and if you can stay with them for 1 or preferably 2 years, then you will have more choices to make other further moves later on.
I always used to look at the equipment that a carrier would buy for their drivers and how well they are maintained. Decker seems to have pretty good equipment. Can't tell you how their pay is, but if all other considerations work, then that could be the least of your problems.
