Checkin' In to Check Out Thread

Every Driver has a 'Tote'.

Be it on the telephone, computer, or in person.

That's where you sign in as on, or off, Duty.

Bossman doesn't have one here, so I'm going to steal his thunder and create one.

This thread is simply to Sign In, and Sign Out on, if you have a Post to make, don't use this thread.

It's only to acknowledge you signed in to read/acknowledge emails from the other Threads.

You get an email reply from the Forum. In IE8, you open that email and link to the Post.
There is also the option of going to the Website, in the email. You need to Log In to Comment or Post. This is a generic thread that has no redemption value aside from giving the Member a point to log in from the Website, and not a Thread.

Old Drivers will recognize what "Check In" means.

However, due to the WinNT\Alureon.C virus Microsoft named as "Zero Day", which they don't have a patch for, it's in your NT CMOS, and it is coming in with Videos, it is quite possible that the virus will attack the website, and a 'clean' thread, without links, will be needed. Ask your Firewall Vendor.

When this has been corrected, this thread may not be needed, but it provides a "Safety" if so.

For those with technical expertise: MS09-012, and, I would allow two things: 1. a Malicious Software Scan by Microsoft, if you can't download the program, there is a good chance you have it; and 2nd. a full scan by BeLarc Advisor for a work-around to obtain whatever patch will work on your particular system.

The Server to this particular website probably has a monitoring technician to keep it "On Line", although I am not aware of the Service Vendor here, or if all is handled 'In House'.

Is this a satisfactory explanation?

i do not have IE 8, i heard it stinks............

and i personally, do not get emails from this website..........i disabled that........its very annoying...........

i have NEVER KNOWN ANY version of the Witless Operating System, to NEVER HAVE a virus, trojan or two....or three.......or four......

yeah.........i have NO expertise in computers..........oh wait........

i've built pc's...........i've diagnosed, and i've repaired pc's..........i've set up pcs'.........i've installed, Linux, Witless operating systems...........

yep..........i'm clueless to the operation of the pc.........thank you for reminding me.......

there hasn't been TOO many times when the server here has HASN'T been slow, or stalls...........

Wrote a reply with the list of KB Articles, went to the intergalactic byte bucket.

Took me 15 minutes to type it out.

Oh well.

Print out a BeLarc Advisor Report is my best suggestion.

Matt Cook wrote the original scema for the website.

He's a friend of mine, and a damn nice guy.

Here, you're definitely making a bunch of moola from it, obviously. Go for it Boy!

Couple of others use the same basic scema, but I won't name the websites here.
