Searching for magnetic antenna

Can anyone offer a good suggestion for a magnetic type antenna that I could easily move between vehicles. I am new to the CB circuit and recently bought a Midland hand-held radio for the occasional over the road trips our family takes.

seriously, since it only for the "occasional family trip", i'd recommend Radio Shack, and keep the expense down, which also by the way, radio shack's products ain't that bad, i have radio shack magnetic cb antenna myself, and have had it for over 20 years now.

What for do you need a magnetic antenna with a hand held radio?
Unless you get a SUPER magnet, the Antenna may depart the scene Gene at accelerated speeds.

yes, but since it IS a hand-held (walkie-talkie) type, you will only get "so much" range. it probably won't be as far as a "REAL" c.b. radio. in the past i too have had ONE and i do mean ONE hand held (walkie-talkie) myself, and the range stinks. you will most likely only get the vehicles in your IMMEDIATE area, next to you or in front of you, or behind you. a walkie-talkie just isn't big enough for all the same "innerds" as a REAL c.b. radio has.

i would suggest you take the walkie-talkie to the nearest radio shack, and have them recommend an antenna for you.

i don't see any other thing to say, 'cept maybe, you should have bought a Midland "mini" cb radio, for about $50 or less.........

Base or mobile it shouldn't make a difference because unless your running illegal, 4 watts is 4 watts no matter how you slice it. The transmit and receive capabilities is in the antenna and the SWR. This is why I posted my question about any suggestion for an antenna.
