yes, but since it IS a hand-held (walkie-talkie) type, you will only get "so much" range. it probably won't be as far as a "REAL" c.b. radio. in the past i too have had ONE and i do mean ONE hand held (walkie-talkie) myself, and the range stinks. you will most likely only get the vehicles in your IMMEDIATE area, next to you or in front of you, or behind you. a walkie-talkie just isn't big enough for all the same "innerds" as a REAL c.b. radio has.
i would suggest you take the walkie-talkie to the nearest radio shack, and have them recommend an antenna for you.
i don't see any other thing to say, 'cept maybe, you should have bought a Midland "mini" cb radio, for about $50 or less.........
