where to live

hey all, im new to trucking and i dont really know much about the truck driver life...i want to have a house somewhere but i dont really know where since im travelling all over the place. My dad has a house in park river ND, which is an hour or 2 north west of grand forks. would this be a good pplace for me to live as a trucker??? Also, if its not a good place, then what would be? what kind of things should i think about when choosing where to live as a trucker? will i be rich enough to afford a house?

also, can you guys teach me what some of your abbreviations mean? ive seen a few and dont know what they mean, such as APU, CPM.

also, is the trucking life tough? will i be depressed on the road all day or will i have some fun cracking jokes on the CB and be a roadshow comedian? Will i be miserable driving a companies truck or should i get my own truck right away? and, if i do get my own truck, will i need the trailer also? or just the truck?

If you can't stand being alone for long periods of time, Trucking probably isn't a good choice for you. CB radios are only good for traffic reports, unless you are running with some buddies. Why don't you use the search function if you want to know all the ABC's?
