Unhappy Use of Heroin

My brother-in-law is driving around the state of California, high as a kite on heroin. While my first inclination is that it's none of my business, the thought crosses my mind that someone could get killed here. I'm not sure how I would report this because I don't want to get involved personally. It would cause too much trouble in the already stressed family if he found out sis was talking about this, but boy if he could be caught, it would be better off for her.

Also, aren't there laws that require random drug tests? How is he getting around that? I know he hasn't been tested since he started.

Since I don't really know where he is from day to day, other than between Corcoran and San Diego, is there a way this could be reported anonymously? I know the trucking company and the license number.

PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING!!!!! HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR CONSCIOUS IS GONNA BE IF/WHEN HE KILLS SOME COMPLETE STRANGER. He or the rest of the family may be upset at first but get him the help he needs and that starts by getting him off the road.

I definitely want to do the right thing. I'm asking how. I cannot call the employer. Its a small company and I couldn't remain anonymous. I have searched everything I can online like "report drunk drivers" and "CDL DUI," etc. What keeps coming up are DUI lawyers. He can find his own lawyer. I really don't think he'll get help. If he is caught, this will be his 2nd DUI and many, many years of drug abuse. At least we can get him off the road. I don't understand how the boss doesn't know, but this is a two man operation so the only person I can call there is the owner and it would just look like I was being vindictive. I wish she would just divorce the sob and then I wouldn't care what he thought but she's in enough pain without him finding out about this. Please help me do the right thing.

I'm sorry you feel this way so, yeah, I'll be blunt: Doing the right thing is protecting my family. I'd like to protect yours, too, but not ahead of mine. That's why I'm here looking for answers. I'm not a truck driver or hay hauler, he is. I just registered last night. I came to this forum after exhaustive searches on the internet. This seemed like the most promising thing I've found so far because y'all should know all the rules and regulations, I don't. I just found out about this as he was clean for awhile (long enough to get the job after a couple years unemployed). I don't care about him losing his damn job but it cannot happen because of her. That's how he would see if I were involved. I don't want him to hurt your family, but I'm damn sure not going to let him hurt her. This company that you want me to call doesn't seem very reputable anyway. They hired him with a DUI, he works crazy hours that I know can't be right, and they pay him under the table. What makes you think he (the owner) would do the right thing? Don't get mad at me. I'm not the one out there on the road trying to kill your children.
