 Tailgating
I am a OTR driver and concerned with what I am seeing on the roadways.It is not owner operators or company drivers its a little of both.I know we have a long way to go and a short time to get there but it is not worth the risk to take someones life or our own to get from point A to point B.I see big trucks not even a foot from a cars bumper I have to back off the gas cause I know something bad is about to take place.I also have had drivers tailgating me.I even tell them to get off my @$$ or I will slam the breaks.Well he said "dont do that"and got over inthe other lane.Most trucking accidents are caused by aggressive drivers,speeding,and tailgating.Alot of these drivers in what we call SUPER DRIVERS rather tailgate and speed rather than do it safe.You ask no I have never tailgated anyone nor have I ever thought about risking my life or someone elses to pick up or drop a load off.
