Default How long till it shows?

A good friend of mine is sweating life right now so i am being the good friend and doing some research for him.

It seems that he had a positive pre-employment drug test recently. How long does this take to show up on his DAC report? I have learned it will be put there even tho he will not ever work there, but how long does it take from the time it was reported from the lab?

Also, he said that the companies he has worked for in the past check his MVR yearly, but do they also check his DAC yearly?

Not all companies utilize DAC/USIS however most of the larger ones use it.
The Positive will remain upon the file/record for quite a while (years).
I do not know IF or WHEN these records are removed/updated.

There are quite many reasons for a positive test and one does not need to be labeled a drug user simply for having a positive test result.
There are positives reported because of some incompetence at the testing facilities (when samples are sent out and not analyzed immediately).

ANY positive result will ban one from ANY future driving unless with a very shoddy employer.

If you want to be a good friend, help your friend to clean up his act. Helping him figure out how to backdoor the Job Requirement process is not helping him, it's enabling him. We do not need any more deadbeats on the road downgrading our profession!

If his friend is sweating it out, that would suggest he knew he took something! I may not have all the info but the guy sounds like he may have a problem....

i did not come and post here to give you free ammo to vent your opinions. I came to ask a question in an effort to help a friend. Yes, he did make a mistake, couple months ago. Its was such a memorable experience that he didnt remember it when he went for a hair test. So if your going to flame someone, please do it elsewhere. I am just trying to find out information that i have been unable to find. I am not going to write off a friend simply because of a bad decision in his past. If i wanted to do that, i would spend plenty of time doing it to every DUI on here.

Im just looking for information
