Default Is refrigerated division the best way to go?

I'm about to go back over the road after a year. So I'm searching for a company that is moving a lot of freight and that gets it's drivers lots of miles. In this recession it seem like refrigeration might be the best way to go. Can anyone tell me if this is the case, and if so which company has the best refrigerated division? Thanks

Pulling a reefer is fine if you require little or no sleep.
You must enjoy sitting for extended preiods of time followed by having to cover 2200 miles in 38 hours.
Ah, the joy of hauling produce.

Thanks for the reply, Ricky Ricardo. I pulled a reefer unit my last job. So I know what you mean. Man I just wanna run and make a pay check. I hauled meat mostly, from CO. to PA.. So tell me Ricky R. is this where the miles are or what? Like I said I've been out of the game for a year. Doing my research, all I hear is there is no freight, no miles. Drivers talking about doing more sitting than driving. I would rather run my butt off than sit at a truck stop waiting on a load. What do you haul Ricky? Are you getting the miles? Help me out here.

I'm doing ok, but my company hasn't added drivers in about a year, except in a few select locations where they have expanded.
And the candidates with the best experience will get those first.
It's an employers market now and they can be as picky as they want right now.
