Penske logistics would be just about like, Ryder Logistics, and Lily Transportation Logistics.

they provide drivers, and equipment, for a price, to a business that needs those services, OR they take over the complete day to day operations of a business, and handle the freight, billing, warehousing, etc, etc.

i worked for Ryder and Lily, this is what they did.......

Thanks for the response Pro1

I asked Jeff if he was going to start a forum for them.According to the safer system they have about 3300 drivers.

I am also wondering if there is anyone on here that has worked for Penske Logistics?
I have an opportunity for a linehaul postion with them and wanted to get an idea what they are like.

Here in Arkansas they run Quality Transport or something like that, I have met guys that run day and night line and those that peddle, I think it has something to do with Whirlpool, none of them I talked to had anything to whine about, seems they were happy.

whether it be, Penske, Ryder, or Lily, they make up a contract in which the driver is (generally) paid for everything they do. most (as i was) paid hours are time and a half after 8 hours, unlike some comapnies that pay you straight time, no matter how many hours you work.

these companies also have paid holidays, and usually its all the holidays, unless the customer NEEDS workers that day, then (i was) paid double time.

there are also "driver leasing companies", that do the same thing, BUT if you do not like a certain account, you get to change to another. these driver leasing companies or employment agency drivers as i call them, do not provide any equipment, just the drivers. but pay the prevailing wage, and some of those companies provide health benefits, while others do not.
