Default Low Bridges

I have recently had a few close calls with low bridges that could easily have resulted in a bad accident.

Does anyone know of a good GPS system or add on for my Garmin that would give a low bridge warning?

Something like a speed camera POI list could work, but I can't seem to find anything.

Many thanks.

Radio Shack sells a truck GPS unit online for $399.00. Too rich for my tastes.

Yeah, its called a Motor Carriers Atlas!!! You should always consult the big map book and not rely on just the GPS unit before starting a trip.

In my opinion, GPS is still unreliable.

I concur and add:
If one cannot READ A MAP, a gps system will not help.

EVERY TIME I was to take roads whether of 2 or 4 lane that I was not familiar with which are constant in Trucking, I would consult the RESTRICTED roads section which includes BRIDGE HEIGHTS.
