The reporter relies on the truck driving schools for all of the information in the story. While I believe the schools when they say that they are having record enrollment and that degreed professionals are turning to the truck driving school, I do not believe their statement that the demand for drivers is still growing because that simply isn't the case.

So many schools falsely represent and never get into any trouble.

Lying is routine in this business:

1. Shipper lies to Freight Co. about size/weight of load/shipment.

2. Freight Co. lies to shipper about time of freight to destination.

3. Company lies to drivers abut how much $$ they can make per (mo/yr).

4. Company lies to drivers about how they will get lots of miles/hours.

5. Driver lies to company about drug use, accidents, traffic citations and criminal history.

6. Company lies to driver about the turnover rate, and how great their new lease-rig will be.

7. Truck school lies to drivers about the trucking business, how much they can earn, ect.

8. And everyone is lying to themselves if they think all this will ever change anytime soon.

The transportation business is a word game. Use the wrong ones you lose money, use the right ones and you will survive.

You gotta love it, driving schools are cashing in big time off people who just lost their jobs and are thinking the trucking industry is the answer when they haven't got a clue that after spending $3000-$6000 they still won't have a job...sad.
