I know this has been posted before, however most school districts will train for bus driving jobs if they have openings.
My wife is in her 25th year of driving bus for our school district.
After you learn how to drive a school bus,you could move on to a tour bus, which could be a more steady job.
If you want to get into trucking I hope you don't need to depend on any big money.
First there are a whole lot of very experienced truck drivers out of work, and looking for driving jobs.
second if you are able to get a dock job it will more than likely be part time.
But with some companies you can get trained to drive truck for them, but it could take years before you get to that point.
UPS puts on part time parcel handlers around the Christmas holiday rush, then weeds them out to hire the best when things start slowing down only if they need them.
But then it will be a part time job loading,or unloading, working your way up the seniority list, till you are able to get something full-time which could also take many years.
Trucking jobs are very hard to come by these days, unless you are willing to be an over the road driver with the truck load companies.
Which is tough if you have a family, because you may not see them to often.
The only other thing is to get on with a local building supply, such as Home Depot,or Lowes Home Centers they use drivers for home deliveries.
Or the trash collectors in your area.
