Well I am going to NETTTS I just gotta fork up about 3500 more dollars and I start on August 24 - October 15 (I think) 8 weeks, 160 hours.

Medic92 I always wanted to join the military but I got a some minor issues that none of the recruiters seem to have the time to help me with, so if I fix those problems maybe I will join the Military. I'm still young (22 y/o) so I got some time to choose.

Thanks again guys for the info! Wish me luck on my schooling.

-Joe

Good luck at NETTTS. If you aren't totally comitted yet and you could hang out in Deleware while going to school. They have a real cheap community college down there. The cost of the motel and the school would be cheaper than $3500 I believe? I'm not totally sure, but it looks like the CDL class is $1000. http://www.dtcc.edu/ you have to look around the website. It is the commercial transportation class. One class is $500 and one is $1000. I'm not sure what the difference is.

Hmm I will take that into consideration, I'll give them a call and find out, I already put down some money but since I haven't started yet I should get it back most likely missing a hundred bucks. I'll find out about Del Tech. Thanks again.

Sorry I didn't find it quicker. I like researching things on the web. Keeps my mind going. Especially if you plan to do OTR, all that matters is you get the CDL. Your trainer will put you behind the wheel at your first company and you will figure it out then. Good luck. Hopefully you find whats best for you. Make sure you get all endorsements too. You never know when you might need them. To me its easier than retesting or paying fees. Hazmat seems like a requirement almost nowdays.

Thank you very much for all your information. I just lost my job on Monday so I really need to take my CDL class here, So I will be doing so also because I am most likely going to lose my car as well since I will not be able to pay my monthly lien (would suck to have it repo'd while in Delaware).

I will let you guys know as soon as I get more info.

In these times I would tell your lien holder the situation. If you have been timely with the payments maybe they can give you a reprieve for a couple months. You can also get unemployment while you retrain as long as you weren't fired for a legit reason. I fought a firing once and got all back pay. CT has one of the highest unemployment in the nation.
