Les Paul was such a great contributor to our love for music. Les Paul has his name on a Gibson Guitar. Why? Les Paul is the father of the electric guitar. If there were no Les Paul ... there might never be an electric guitar ... he invented the electric guitar ... there may never be recording studios ... he basically created the recording studio (multi track recording). Les Paul belongs to more than one Hall of Fame ... The Broadcasters Hall of Fame, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The National Inventors Hall of Fame (he invented the first eight track recorder). Les Paul will surely be missed. I understand he played with bands up until he passed away at the young age of 94. I, for one, will miss you, Paul ... enjoy ... you are with Mary (your wife) again, and Jimmie H, and others who have turned guitar strings into fibers of magic. You immortals have ceased walking with your mortal friends. You continue to walk, and grace the many Hall's of Fame!!!!
