It seems that where ever I go I'm hearing drivers talking
in every language but English.
Or English in a thick foreign accent.
I don't care if I'm at a truck stop, shipper, receiver,
or anywhere in-between.
Two out of every three drivers I see are from
another country nowadays??
Whats gives??
Has the industry gotten so bad that they can't
keep anybody from these parts anymore??
Or is it because many carriers are paying such pitifully
low rates that they can only attract foreigners who
think they're making a fortune??
Hmmmm
Check out the pay some companies are paying these days? I don't know about you but I wouldn't touch a driving job for .25 CPM. Its no wonder accident rates for CVM's has gone way up the past decade with all the Haji's driving rigs.
In my job I have been forced to speak English, and learn mexican, east indian, russian, german, and hip-hop, though I'm not fluent, I still do my best..
