(if you can get a load out of jersey to chicago for 84+26 surcharge 1.10 per mile
and 72% of 2.00 per mile back to jersey
you would do ok
if they pay the truck legalization package thats good too
I doubt if this job exists
bobtail is coverage for your tractor when not hooked up to a trailer
you must be leased to a company to have bobtail
its cheap off the top of my head $50 a month |
@ $1.10 a mile, one can well stay still because it required last year $1.50 a mile just to see a few nickles when at all after expenses.
How long can you run for free??
Just because Fuel prices have fallen some doesn't mean a windfall of profits are available as BROKErs have as well lowered their rates in case you were not already aware.
Cheap haul robusome has plenty of these $1.10 a mile and less loads.
Go to FloriDUH and you'll be doing better than most to get ANY LOAD paying even $1.00 a mile out with no Fuel surcharge because BROKErs keep it. Shippers pay it yet many BROKErs keep it.
PTL was paying Owner Operators $.85 cpm in '02 for ALL MILES allowed in the HHG Blue book. County Line to County Line so there were a lot of free miles. I drove for an O.O. leased to PTL in '02.
Their website I'm sure states about the same rate as do many other companies.
