Default Owner operator,please decipher

I will like to try understand what companies are offering to O/O when you see their offer sheet.
The following is just an example;
=====================
We offer:

Linehaul pay of 72% or an $0.86 per mile minimum. Fuel Surcharge paid (avg. $0.18 to $0.24 per mile) Trip advances for fuel purchases (50% of total pay) 2nd day Trip Pak for sending paperwork to us. Same day pay...loaded on your comcard or company check mailed home. Truck legalization packakage including IRP, SSR, IFTA, transporter plates

My questions:
(does 72% means that the truck gets paid that? Surcharge 18%, is that 18% off the fuel you bought? - Truck legalization packakage including IRP, SSR, IFTA, transporter plates, does this mean all of these items paid by company?

Fuel used per 600 mile trip 120 gallons.
fuel surch 600 * .20 = $120 actual cost =$320 net from truck gross $200

truck gross .86 * 600 = $516 - $200 = $316 * 5 = $1500 p/wk still need to subtract truck payment, wear n tear, tolls, insurance and self employment taxes. Net to driver = Bankruptcy.

72% linehaul is what the truck gets which is not too shabby
(that rate is usually for someone with own trailer)
84 cpm guaranteed that's ok too
surcharge right now should be 25 -28 cents per mile
(if you can get a load out of jersey to chicago for 84+26 surcharge 1.10 per mile
and 72% of 2.00 per mile back to jersey
you would do ok

if they pay the truck legalization package thats good too

I doubt if this job exists

bobtail is coverage for your tractor when not hooked up to a trailer
you must be leased to a company to have bobtail
its cheap off the top of my head $50 a month

Fuel mileage will suffer as well because of increased load weights averaging from 38k to 45k.
More weight, less pay, get outta the way!

Remember: One can make a small fortune in trucking if first one begins with a LARGE fortune.

@ $1.10 a mile, one can well stay still because it required last year $1.50 a mile just to see a few nickles when at all after expenses.
How long can you run for free??
Just because Fuel prices have fallen some doesn't mean a windfall of profits are available as BROKErs have as well lowered their rates in case you were not already aware.
Cheap haul robusome has plenty of these $1.10 a mile and less loads.
Go to FloriDUH and you'll be doing better than most to get ANY LOAD paying even $1.00 a mile out with no Fuel surcharge because BROKErs keep it. Shippers pay it yet many BROKErs keep it.
PTL was paying Owner Operators $.85 cpm in '02 for ALL MILES allowed in the HHG Blue book. County Line to County Line so there were a lot of free miles. I drove for an O.O. leased to PTL in '02.
Their website I'm sure states about the same rate as do many other companies.
