If you're making at least 40 hours a week and you now have bennies in place, STAY where you are. You're gaining experience at least in the class B driving arena and driving a Fuel truck is Driving something.
Local driving (class B or A) is not recognized by OTR companies regardless of time involved however the opposite applies.
Going OTR with less than a years worth of driving time will most likely set you back as well as offering LESS PAY than the last time you were OTR.
$14.50 an hour is A LOT BETTER than $9.00 or $10.00 that a lot of companies are paying local Drivers.
MANY OTR companies have significantly LOWERED their road pay while adding charges for say Idling time.
Some OTR companies state very clearly they do not hire People with current CDLs.
With the excessive amount of qualified and yet unemployed Drivers available, the excessive amount of available trucks to unavailable freight and the excessive waiting between loads, the growing States and Locations where one cannot Idle ones truck for Health reasons, one is better off remaining where one currently works.
Stay where you are for another Month or two.
