Default Hey From A Northern Newbie to the Forum

Hey Drivers,

Kitchener, Ontario, Canada cheking in. Been driving for 11 years, took 9 months away from the industry following a layoff, and find myself back in the seat one more time. I have run long in the past but most of my work was regional or local. I just signed on with Celadon Canada and was hoping to get some input as to what these guys are like to work for.

Hope everybody's doing great and looking forward to chatting here and on the big road one more time.

In the US, they aren't that great. Better than a starter company however avoid them if you can. I know 3 people that have quit them in the past month.

I know some folk that work for Celadon not as Drivers.
I have heard through the grapevine that most of the Canuck drivers are a sorry lot and are just whiners who as well are uptight yet with an annoyingly heavy French accent, which really helps in comprehension.

The Trucks in the States average from 62-66 mph. I know not about Canadian Trucks but figure they're the same.

I have met very few Canadian (and American) Drivers in all of Trucking that were worth talking to about anything, but this is MY take.

You may very well be an exception and will therefore be welcomed wherever you go in these States.

Whichever way you proceed, I hope the BEst uv WELLness 2-u-n-urs-n ALL adventures and Welcome to TruckingBoards!!
