You all are wonderful. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts. I don't even have the words right now. I'm a little emotional at the moment. The surgery is scheduled for October 15th if this all works out. I will have many pictures of surgery day and after.

All you need to do right now is take care of your wife and let her know I am thinking of her and praying for the best. Let me and everyone else worry about my pup. She sends a wag to you both.

Just wanted to give more information. The surgery is $5500. I have $2000.00 that I managed to gather. I am still trying everything possible to gather the funds. I am doing a local fundraiser also. I'm working my tail off to help her.

I figured I would let you know a little about Misty. She is my diabetic service dog and companion. She has saved my life twice.

She was hit by a car when she was 2. That is why there is so much arthritis in her hip. Up until this year meds and supplements have helped her and she has been able to function. She is now 7 and the arthritis has deteriorated her bone and she is now bone on bone with any movement. Through my care she has been able to go this long without surgery. If there was any other way I would take it but unfortunately I have exhausted all other treatments. She is in constant pain and needs this to walk without pain.

Any help is a Godsend and a blessing.

I do have a seven year old little girl (the one in the picture) and she too has hip problems and we are in the medication stage now. Doc says hopefully it will not worsen but told us that it could mean hip replacement down the road sometime. Any way, I know how you are feeling and hope that you make your goal.

Make sure to give krill oil, salmon oil, or fish oil. I prefer the krill oil. Give one per day. A very good joint supplement ( I researched this to death) Joint Strong. I would give one scoop a day for a 40# dog. Misty gets 2. The joint supplement should have chondroiten, glucosamine, MSM, and most important hyaluronic acid. Also talk to the vet about Adequan injections for dogs. It does wonders in this stage. One other thing we tried was ACell injection. It helps in about 60%. It helps more for hip displasia than injury induced hip arthritis.
