Ok I have an update. Been busy with Misty. Had a huge scare. The incision is almost healed but not out of the woods yet. The report (culture) came back as MRSA. Very scary. That would definitely upset the apple cart. We are hoping that it was just on the outside skin. There doesn't seem to be any signs of a deeper infection. No clinical signs at all. We have to keep a close watch. The bacteria that was there is only susceptible to 6 antibiotics and they are the power houses of antibiotics. Dangerous to the kidneys. I am praying it was just an outer skin deal. It looks that way but we won't know for sure for a week or so. I'll ask next week when I take her back to see the surgeon again.
Other than that, she is doing great. Walking good and not showing any signs of pain. Just soreness still. I imagine it will take a couple months before the muscle and bone are healed completely.
