Question Who will hire me?

I'm new to this forum, and by the way its great, I'll give a little of my background. I live in North West Florida, 6 months OTR , 12 months local, 1 minor ticket and no felonies or anything along those lines, were can I start or I guess the question is who will hire me from here?

first, welcome.

next, with only one "minor" ticket as you say, that shouldn't be a major probllem. i am not familiar with too many companies down i florida.

however, if there is a supermarket chain, inquire there.

then you may have some tanker out fits that haul juices to the north, try those as well.

there might be moving companies, try those.

but remember, if nothing else, there is indeed an economic problem right now. there are lots of drivers out of work. i guess it does come to mind, why did you leave your last employer, if you too know the job situation...??

if they closed up, well then you had no choice, sorry, that happens.

there will be others coming here through out the day/night, give it some time for more responses.

I was going through Circle the other night and saw a big "Driver's Wanted" banner on the CVS Pharmacy DC. If there is a DC withing driving distance from home, you might want to check it out. I don't know what they pay. Good luck!

"up here" in the north east, Ryder has the contract to provide drivers and equipment for CVS.

it might be wise to check with Ryders web site for any employment

6 months OTR will not garner you much if any more OTR work as most companies want a minimum 1-2 years.
WHY do you only have 1/2 year OTR?
What kind of driver were you?
Did you have any incidents like BACKING into things??
Do you have a recent copy of your dac/usis record??

Everyone is allowed a copy once in a 12 month period!!
12 months local will most likely keep you local.
North West Florida....on I-10, Panhandle??
Check also in Georgia, Alabama.
Is the "minor ticket" in a CMV or 4 wheeler? It does make a difference!
Check also with Food delivery outfits, food deecees, warehouses, NAPA, Penske, Ryder, Temp services.
