Default TV reception question.

I drive an 07 International 9400 and use the built in antenna for my tv. I just finally got around to getting a digital to analog converter for my older tv. The reception is horrible. A lot of times the converter will go through its full scan and find signals but they really dont come in. Seems even when i get a station it will jump between a really good signal to practically no signal...very weird and i have also noticed that even moving the truck a couple feet greatly impacts reception. I am just wondering if anyone out there uses a special antenna for the digital? Do they even exist? Is my converter the piece of the puzzle that is a piece of ??? lol...very frustrating

Yes, they sell special antennas for digital. Look for an antenna mount designed for it. Try a web search.

Thumbs down Digital Television

IMO, This whole digital idea is a bunch of crap for the public, but great for the Cable Co's. I live right between two large metro cities (Baltimore/Washington DC) and always got good analog reception between the two cities. I put a digital converter with a good digital antenna in my shop and can't really get anything to come in consistent. When the picture comes in the picture is great but the signal comes in and out, pixels in and out, lost sound, picture freezing and a host of other weird things happen. Plus the major stations usually just aren't there with a signal. Another case of something forced on the public without testing the idea beforehand to see if it actually works. I feel really sorry for people that live away from urban areas and don't have the ability to afford or capability to have cable or satellite etc... I think it's ,

You're better off without a TV. Seems the only thing on is B-HO spreading bull
