It's becoming a everyday thing around here to. Never use to here it on the traffic reports, now at least one a day, and usually the same 11' 6" bridge.

Anytime my GPS gives me a route suggestion in an area that I unfamiliar with, that is what I do. My GPS has a truck option, but it is not 100%. I have already caught it running me on a road with a low bridge.

Yes, I know, a map is not 100% either.
You are asking WAY too much! Do you honestly think that todays rookies, especially the foreigners, even know what a truckers atlas is? Much less, how to use one?!!!??

Openings for Drivers occur daily because of the Reckless WRECK prone Drivers not learning or retaining information that can help sustain their longevity as Drivers.
Hit a Bridge (or ANY solid structure), go find another line of work (maybe in Bridge repair).
Satellite dependence for directions is another sign of co-dependence and is a basic service for 4 WHEELER drivers who cannot find their way around a standard City block without getting lost. These are the same type of People that cannot locate their Vehicle in a wal mart parking lot and they're as well Handicapped.

ALL STATES have Bridges that are hit seemingly daily yet the Northeast has the major amount of LOW BRIDGES.
In High Point, NC on Business 85/29/70 there are a couple of Bridges that state 13'6" yet most Trailers pass with no problems so go figure.
SOME Bridges as we well know in the Northeast state 13'4" yet a 13'6" vehicle can pass safely, however NOT ALL SUCH MARKINGS are to be believed nor are all clearances allowed which explains clearly WHY there are so many deficient Drivers Driving into LOW BRIDGES as well as on RESTRICTED ROUTES.
Serves ya right for not PAYING ATTENTION!!
