Should we allow Union/Non-Union Discussion on all forums?
With a couple of stipulations
1) No Recruiters....
2) Only company employees allowed to discuss it in thier forum, which means... If you work for a Union Carrier, you cannot come into a non union forum and discuss the Union.
(Of course you can always talk all you want about the subject in the teamsters / non debate forum)
I say open it up. What if you worked for abc union co and now you work for xyz non union. You still might have something to say (relevant of course) about abc co. You should be allowed to post it.
I vote no, keep it separate. On the company forums you have a lot of drivers exchanging information about operations and ideas to improve how they do their job. On the Union/Non Union discussions you have a smaller group of people who jump in and argue down to the mat. We know that we probably won't change the beliefs of anyone who is in the argument. But I believe we bring out all sides of the issue for the people who want to look it over and make up their own minds.
well if its applied the way Jeff says then outsiders can not join in.
but if the employees of that forum feel the need to discuss union issues that are comming into their minds then why silence them ??
I say go for it because union issues come up at every company. right now i have to infract anyone that says union.. kinda hard to have an open debate with your employees.
so then you have to go to the non/union debate forum and every knucklehead has an opinion. I don't think you guys read what Jeff said
